What with the recent spate of bullying stories, insufficient materials or equipment is it any wonder? |

The only way to sort this out is Natl Service for 30+ as they have got experience in life.
NOT with jong as they could be to trigger happy and they only have a short training. And the FULL time GUYS could have the lead.
If they dont do some thing NOW, its going to be to late to do any thing. _________________ ex RAF |

Do you really feel that this would work? would it not cause more trouble with the slightly older guys? being shall we say more settled in life? I am all for national service being reintroduced for a 3 year period not the 2 years as of old, There would be an outcry I am sure to start with, but eventually it would be accepted as the done thing, and I would lay bets, a number would become regulars? It happened with us in the old days? |

I fully in line to what Tafscot say's bring back national service being reintroduced. It would take the young one's off the streets as they have nothing to do, only going round in gangs causing havoc for all. Put them into a bootcamp that will teach them a new way of life. _________________

It would be great to get some decent HUMAN BEINGS on the street again.
Ok we was all children once and what we did maybe was not 100% but It is NO ware as bad as it is NOW.
And one thing for sure it would cut douwn al the small crimes that take place around the country.
Just the other day a group of South Eurpeans kids below the Med SEA in Holland refused to pay for goods in a shop and when they was spoken to by the staff they was treatened with knife's. This could have been FAR worse it could have been a GUN.
Thies are the people that need Natl Service but Not be sent to Afganistan due to the low age and No respect for people. Only the older ones that have the respect to deal with the situation. _________________ ex RAF |

I agree TAF but when we did it it was FUN NOT like NOW
I was chatting with a old school friend in JUNE and we was talking of when we locked 2 of the teacher's in a store cubbord because they was haveing a affair. His SON was So supprised to hear it.
I got grounded for 3 weeks because I had No lights on My bike and when My father found out he went through the ROOF.
Now it all the rage NOT to have any on bike's scooters and some time cars.
PLUS ALL THE REST and HAVE NO RESPECT FOR ANYBODY or any THING _________________ ex RAF

Read this one with great interest!
Yeap I can see a mass walk out by the forces before too long, I mean come on guys when you see in the papers that our lads (No matter what age 18+) are out in these hostile Countries doing what the Government has asked them to do, getting shot, blown up, murdered, for as little as £12,000 a year. Yet a frigging Ticket warden walking the Streets of London gets £18.000 a year and most of them come from the Countries that OUR lads and lasses are fighting in???? Where is the justification in that?
Someone also mentioned the age group of Soldiers being sent out there!!!! Hey I was in Aden when I was barely 18,, I was no different to the 18 year olds of today, they can even vote at 18, I was not allowed a vote untill I was 21. If they are old enough to vote they are old enough to fight for their Country, enough of this pampering crap, bring back some sort of National service, and give the Youth something to think about instead of shagging everything in sight and over populating the Country with unwanted babies. It would also make the imigrant population realise that they have to put their 18 year old into OUR uniform and partake in the battles that they have run away from.
They wanna live here,,,they must fight for it, too much PC in this Country in my opinion. I call a spade a spade not a shovel!!! |

BRITAIN WOULD BE IN DEEP S..T
Not that it is not thier NOW just a little but deeper
As the Forces have to do those jobs when they are on Strike
Jack of all trade's Master of NONE ( and onder payed )
Thats the British Armed Force's
And AS Brouwn is leading the country would it be Brouwn S..T _________________ ex RAF |

Always got up my wick, the fact that the Forces were called in to do the jobs of the likes of the Fireman etc, when anything went apes***, and yet they are still treated like second class citizens at times |

if we brought back national service, the firms making soap and razor blades would see a big upsurge in their profits, just imagine some of these clowns being made to shave and wash , the mind boggles, but i will insist we reinstate the army catering corps and dish up the type of grub we were served with in the 50s, that would be true national service, ginger, |
