SOUTH West Wales medical workers are being honoured today for their work saving injured British troops in Afghanistan.
They are being handed Campaign medals at an award ceremony at Cardiff City Hall in recognition of the key role they played in 203 (Welsh) Field Hospital (Volunteers) in Camp Bastion, Helmand Province.
The medics are being awarded alongside other Territorial Army (TA) troops at the event, which will see them take part in a parade in the Welsh capital. |

I take my hat off to all those TA Bods both men and women who have gone out there, we sometime mock the "weekend" soldiers, but fair play, they have taken on the task of supporting the regulars, and have had their losses also. |
