This is from MAY of this year When HRH Prince William took the controles in a 30 hour round flight to Kandahar and back in a C-17 Globemaster and had the job of Returning

Robert Pearson, a Trooper serving with the Queen's Royal Lancers, was killed just days before he was due to fly out of Afghanistan on leave.

The soldier, 22, was the 94th British serviceman killed in Afghanistan since 2001.

Clarence House aides said William, 25 was "honoured" to play his part in returning the coffin, and to then meet the young soldier's family at RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire.

A senior Royal source told the Mail it was "offensive" to suggest that the presence of a serviceman's coffin on the flight had been planned.

I dont think the flight was planned to bring this lads body home on that specific flight.

Prince Bill was just doing his job, and he, as he said, he was honoured to be part of the crew that bought this Soldier back to his home land.

I have on several occassions met the Queen (Beth) and Phill (the greek) Charlie boyo, and the lovely Diana. To me it was nice to see them taking interest in our Forces. I am sure that if they had a say in how our lads and lasses are treated things would be different!

have also had the honour of meeting the Royal family on a couple of occsions, and found them to be caring people trying to show a genuine interest.
They get pilloried mainl;y because to my mind they are set up to look like things similar to this flight are planned, by them< they are just pawns, the minnions do all the organising
